Sadhana Kitchen - High Tea

10/02/2015

Sadhana Kitchen is one of my most favorite vegan cafe in Sydney. Their food is always full of flavour and fulfilling. My friend Mel took me to Sadhana to experience their high tea for my birthday and I was not disappointed.

Sadhana High Tea is a really great option for people who want to try something different to your normal high tea. This three tiered stand is beautifully presented, full of sweet and savory options that is raw, organic and vegan.

For high tea customers they do need to book and pay online in advance before coming down to Sadhana. On the day of your high tea all you have to do is alert the staff that you have arrive, choose what drink you would like (they have a large selection of tea to choose from) and sit where ever you like. Shortly after, the friendly staff bring you a three tiered stand full of goodness.

Sadhana high tea is a really great treat for anyone who wants to try something different or to take a friend who is vegan. Sadhand is always for me a place full of raw love. It is flavorful, healthy and delicious.

As you scroll down this post there is a brief description of the finger food and a review of some of the items.

On the bottom plate there is eggplant wrap, pizza, cucumber sandwiches and caramelized onion and mushroom quiche. My two favorites from this plate would have to be the quiche and the eggplant wrap. At first the wrap seems quite plain but the fresh, crispiness of the vegetables married off with this amazing sauce (that I have forgotten) has a really great balance. The quiche is moist and just divine.

On the middle plate there is scones with chia jam and passion fruit, choc-raspberry and mango cheezecake. The cheezecakes have a great smooth velvety texture. Unfortunately my least favorite from the whole stand was the scones. They were rock hard and dry and were difficult to eat because it was so dry. The chia jam was a sticky texture that did not really enhance the scone.

On the very top of the plate there was mint slice, raw tim-tams, raw caramel slice and mini chocolate mousse tarts. It may seem as though it would be sickly sweet from all this chocolate. But Sadhana really knows who to balance the chocolate. The mint slice was able to cut through the sweetness of the chocolate and give what we so many love the contrast of flavors. The raw tim-tam slice was thin and soft and the the chocolate mousse tarts were just the right size.

Overall I really enjoy coming down to Sadhana, you can read a previous experience if you like by clicking here. For high tea booking is essential click here for more information.
